Predominantly adopting a neoplatonist dialectic approach, 41st night reinterpret the pre-eminent cultural signifiers of late 20th century music through the lens of post-colonial decline. Though normatively restrictive this scheme is applied with generous and, at times, reckless abandon, generating a cornucopic effusion of sonic delight.

Put another way: four guys, from London, playing hard/prog-rock and occasionally over analysing.

Originally formed in the depths of Tower Hamlets, the original 41st night line-up gigged around the London circuit to moderate acclaim, establishing a reputation for loud, heavy, yet thoughtfully written rock in, before the four founder members went their separate ways. Skip forward a few years, during which several members were involved with the now sadly defunct Worshipful Company of Rock project, and the 'night are back, with a new lineup, a carefully crafted set of new songs, and a distinctive sound honed by a gradual process of evolution.

With their flair for heavy, uncompromising, riff-driven rock, taking in a range of influences too diverse to sensibly list, and with a new front-man bringing a melodic edge, 41st night are ready to hit the stage again.
